Day 128 - Ants
DH and a colony of ants have been waging war. The ants think the kitchen is a great food source. DH is "this close" to calling an exterminator. If it wasn't for my disapproval he already would have.

I have these little f-ers all over the house too , every spring they arrive with the season. I read once that when you kill them, leave out their bodies... the colony will collect the dead and eventually figure out that it it too dangerous to come back. Every year we have to do this for a few weeks and then we rarely see them again for the rest of the summer.
ReplyDelete*shuddering* we have those bastards in the new house. We're completely surrounded by them. I saw an ad on TV for a spray that you can use around the foundation of your house to prevent them from coming inside. I haven't actively started looking for it yet, but if I see more of the creepers, I'll be heading to Canadian Tire to see what they have. So far putting out ant bait (outside) has helped this year over last year. It's still early in the season though.
