This week I was challenged to take a picture of something made out of wood. The first thing that came to mind is our wood pile. We heated with wood growing up and I swore I would never burn wood in my house. It's SO much work. Our new house has a wood fireplace and I now realize wood is free (except for the labour) but propane is expensive. So everyday my first task when I get home from work (besides wrangling the kids) is to start the fireplace just like I'm doing in the second picture. Fun, fun.

ReplyDeleteAwesome mission pics! We only heat our house with wood on the farm, and eventually you get used to it. The worst of getting out of bed in the morning and seeing your breath while getting the fire going again. It smells so good! Of course your fireplace is not only practical but beautiful too!!! I am so jealous. I think I'll turn up my electric heat and light a candle ;)
